In June 2008, the European Commission has launched the European Network of Women in Decision-Making in Politics and the Economy to provide a European platform for debate, exchange of information and good practices and for identifying best strategies to make progress on this issue.

Current members of the Network are:

Meetings

The European Network of Women in Decision-Making in Politics and Economy, which is an initiative of the EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, Mr. Vladimir Spidla, comprise the Chairs of existing European-level networks, as AFAEMME, active in promoting the advancement of women in decision-making positions. EC Reports

Since 2006 the Unit "Equality between Women and Men" of the European's Commission DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities publishes periodical reports to promote gender balance in decision-making positions. You can download the mentioned reports here.
