Women in Public Life AwardsLondon (UK), September 23rd 2010Dods and Scottish Widows are holding the Women in Public Life Awards to celebrate women leaders in society and seek to recognize and promote the work of women in politics, business, the civil society and community leadership. The categories for 2010 are Businesswoman of the Year, Local Government Personality of the Year, Devolved Parliament or Assembly Member of the Year, Peer of the Year, Public Affairs Achiever of the Year, Voluntary Sector Achiever of the Year, Journalist of the Year, Public Servant of the Year, MP of the Year and Sportswoman or Team of the Year. Women’s Entrepreneurship and Leadership Program (WEL)El Cairo (Egypt), September-October 2010Published by S. Mally, April 2010, Barcelona (Spain) The American University in Cairo and the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania will offer just after Ramadan the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Leadership Program (WEL), a five week-long business and management certificated program specifically for women in the region. Instruction will be in Arabic and participants who do not live in Cairo will be provided housing at in the dormitories of the campus of the American University in Cairo.
