Last June 21st 2010 AFAEMME participated in a meeting in Madrid to discuss about the setting off of the future Council of the Participation of Women, an institution which has been foreseen in the Spanish Law for Equality in order to provide Spain with an instrument for dialogue between Women Associations and Central Administration.

The meeting was attended by the rest of Women Associations which will integrate the Council and by Mrs. Isabel Martínez, Secretary General of Equality Policies of the Ministry of Equality, and Mrs. Laura Seara, Director General of the Spanish Women Institute.
