AFAEMME's President, new Vice-President of UEAPME, the European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

UEAPME represents more than 12 million companies which employ over 55 million of workers in 34 European countries.

Ms. De Felipe Lehtonen, AFAEMME's President and Vice-President of the Spanish Confederation of SMEs (CEPYME), has been elected new Vice-President of the European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (UEAPME). The election took place last on the 10th of June in Bucarest (Romania).

She is replacing Mr. Antonio Garamendi, President of CEPYME since November 2014.

Ms. de Felipe's aim in this position is to bring the European Union's information and instruments closer to Spanish SMEs in order to allow them to better grow and internationalize.

In fact, one of UEAPME's main challenges is to lobby at the EC for a greater support to European SMEs as they consider that the Commission priotirizes start-ups and new SMEs instead of supporting consolidated and working SMEs.

UEAPME represents more than 12 million companies which employ over 55 million of workers in 34 European countries.
