SUCCESFULL XVII MEDAWOMEN IN TURKEY

The XVII Medawomen Entrepreneurs Forum, our most recent edition, was held on 3 December in İzmir, Türkiye, at the İzmir Chamber of Commerce, under the theme “Sustainability and Resilience in NGOs”, within the framework of MEDSPARC 2025. Organized by AFAEMME and İZİKAD, MEDAWOMEN brought together women’s business associations from across the Euro-Mediterranean region and was held for the first time in Türkiye and in İzmir.

This special session, entitled “Sustainability and Resilience in NGOs”, explored how women-led NGOs can generate stronger impact through institutional resilience, sustainable funding, good governance, regional networks and measurable social outcomes. Bringing together women’s entrepreneurship networks, business organizations, federations and regional platforms, the session placed the future of the Euro-Mediterranean civil society ecosystem at the center of the discussion. The conclusions highlighted how women leaders translate resilience into practice, demonstrating that sustainable collective resilience depends on cooperation, strong governance and a shared strategic vision
