Global Entrepreneurs Week 2010

From November 15th to 21st 92 countries will be celebrating the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), an initiative which wants to promote the creation of new businesses and enterprises.

The Entrepreneurs Week -which is supported among others by Mr. Barack Obama, President of the U.S., and Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy, the French President- aims to:

  • Promote the values of entrepreneurial culture, initiative, creativity, innovation and commitment
  • Create a dialogue between different business creation agents
  • Inspire by offering the example of successful entrepreneurs
  • Support education and training by creating and spreading knowledge

In Spain, the GEW activities will be coordinated by the IESE Centre for Family Companies and Entrepreneurial Initiative.

AFAEMME will award the best woman led start-up at the ANIMA MedVentures Award ceremony

Marseille (France), December 3rd 2010

Next December 3rd, MedVentures, an initiative by ANIMA Investment Network, will award in Marseille (France) the top 3 MedVentures start-ups selected among the 100 best innovative start-ups that were preselected in 10 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey. The 3 winners will get an economic award, a dedicated project follow up and a high visibility towards future investors/business partners during and after the event.

In the framework of this event, AFAEMME will award the best women led start-up among the 10 best start-ups selected for the finals by the jury of high level international investors.
