Afaemme's President, Maria Helena de Felipe attended, last 8th April, CEPYME Year Award Conference, with the participation of S.M.King Felipe VI from de Royal House, the winners board Antonio Martinez, General manager and David Casals, Operation manager from "Airtificial" were awarded as SME of the Year #PremiosCEPYME

The UfM has always put gender equality and women’s empowerment at the heart of its agenda. This agenda was notably endorsed by the 4th Ministerial Cairo Declaration on Strengthening the Role of Women in Society, 2017, which identified four priority areas, one of which is “strengthening women’s access to leadership and decision-making positions”. Our region is weakened by the exclusion of women’s talent and knowledge. In order to achieve the SDGs in 2030, a transformative gender agenda that places women at the same level with men is needed.

On February 28th, BUSINESSMED Secretary General, Jihen Boutiba and AFAEMME's President, Maria Helena de Felipe signed a MoU to promote & support Euro-Mediterranean social & economic development, both parties expressed enlarge synergies between both to strengthen their cooperation & thus regional bilateral & multilateral cooperation". Union for the Mediterranean has organized last Friday, 5 March 2021, 11:00-13:00 CET the UfM International Women’s Day, webinar where they have been discussed the importance of bridging the leadership gap and empower women to attain gender equal decision-making. Afaemme's President Maria Helena de Felipe, participated in this webinar.
